Stress at work
Employee counselling gives individuals a valuable opportunity to work through problems and stresses in a strictly confidential and supportive atmosphere. Individuals are also motivated to understand and realise their own career potential, thus maximising the chances of functioning at their best.
Identity and Difference
a nurturing and non-judgmental environment will be provided for you to explore your emotions, fears and feelings regarding your identity. You will be given the opportunity to share and explore your emotional pain that has characterised your life’s journey, allowing you to feel heard and enabling you to have an opportunity for growth, enduring relationships, and personal fulfilment.
Abuse (past and/or present)
Abuse counselling will offer you the chance to talk face-to-face in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Counsellors aim to help you come to terms with your emotional issues and realise your ability to take control of your life so that you feel more empowered and free to live your life.
Northwest Counselling Limited has set up peer support groups for adults who are experiencing social anxiety concerns. These workshops have been very successful for the participants. Please see testimonials below:

I have met new people and have enjoyed these 5 weeks and would love another session”. “Found the course very useful and enjoyable. The interaction with new people made it exciting and confidence building. Would like another extended follow up course and would have no hesitation to recommend it to others. Feel more positive about myself”. “Brilliant, highly recommend this programme. Really enjoyed it”.
You will be supported in a non-judgemental atmosphere as you talk through your problems, and establish what is at the heart of your need to self-harm so that you can discover your inner strengths and tap into your own resources to manage your emotional pain and face any future situations in a constructive way
Suicidal thoughts can be very frightening and sometimes suicide feels like the only way to get away from those overwhelmingly dark feelings. If you do have suicidal thoughts, then talking through those feelings with a counsellor could help you to come to terms with them and help you to realise that your life is worth living.
